What does an anxiety attack feel like?

I get short of breath a lot and my mom told me it was because I was out of shape but after doing physical activity I still feel fine. I think they might be anxiety attacks?

Couple of years ago, a kid was shot in the leg at a school mass shooting. He died two days later. Tupac died 6 days after he was shot 4 times. Why is it that you can survive days after being shot and under treatment at the hospital and still die?
