Why do people say a 25 year old is still young it's well into adulthood?

    "Well into"? That's debatable. 25 is still a young adult.

    Because though we're 5 years INTO adulthood, 20s is still a "kid" compared to our parent's generation being in their 50s. 5 years into adulthood comparative to 30. That's why it's still considered "young"

    Age is relative to what you are comparing it to. 25 is young compared to 85. 25 is old compared to 5.

    they're trying to make the person feel better by saying they're still a baby, when really they're old and hard

    It’s young to people significantly older than them. It’s old to a teenager. It’s all relative. Overall it’s still young when you consider that at 25 you are probably not even 1/3 of the way through your life.

    From 18 to 35 is the young adult era. Once you reach 35 then you are no longer a young adult anymore
