Can my dentist tell I smoke?
10 answers
I’m 18 and I’ve been smoking cigarettes since I was about 12, nowadays I smoke a pack a day. Will my dentist know that I smoke and are they required to tell my parents if I do?

Smoking can cause a great deal of dental issues. Your dentist can see that you have damage, and that the damage is usually caused by smoking. They can ask you, but you are an adult and they can't tell your parents anything.
