What would be simpler for Elon Musk to terraform, Mars or Venus?

Mars. We can actually land there without being incinerated. Generate a magnetic field to protect the planet, bombard it with comets -- especially those heavy in ammonia, get greenhouse gases going that won't destroy the newly formed ozone layer, etc.

Right now he’s trying to go to Mars, but he’s not trying to terraforming it. He’s hoping to find ancient lava tubes so people can live underground.

Terraforming any planet is far beyond human technology right now. We can barely get a probe to a planet. How could we possibly change an entire planet?

It doesn t matter. "Terraforming" is a complete fantasy. And Musk is nowhere near smart enough anyway.

No way that Venus will ever be terraformed. Not possible on Mars either with current technology.
