I've done research on rabies in the past month and now I have a rabies phobia: What if a rabid animal drools on my lawn, and then someone who has a scratch on their leg walks on my lawn, and accidentally gets the infected saliva on their scratch?

Where have you been researching rabies? Whatever you're reading is not reputable (bùllshit, in other words). You also need to talk to a psychiatrist. Your fear is definitely not rational.
