Partly imprinting, partly learnt behavior, and partly brain patterning. Also throw in puberty and some brain chemicals like dopamine.

Because of blood flow to the penis.This happens because of sexual stimulation. But there are also situations when men can get erection, without such stimuli ,especially in teen years .
