Would I use "family s" or "families" in this sentence?

"And, in turn, working for one of the finest, most established families/family s would benefit him, as well." Which word would I use? or should I use a different one altogether?

Families (because the reference to "one of the ..." indicates more than one family).

There are "established families" and this is *one* of those established families.

Families is correct. (Family's constitutes the possessive form, indicating that something is own or possessed by a family.)

You would never use "family s". It does not exist. Use families. On of the x means that x must be plural.
