I have been having stomach pains and when I press on the lower part of my stomach I have sharp pain. What could it be?

Sounds like built up gas in your lower colon. Don't press on it. If you feel fine otherwise, while walking or anything.. then I wouldn't worry too much.

If pain persists I would say definitely see a doctor as there aren’t many on yahoo answers it could be as simple as gas to ovarian cyst or appendicitis but getting it looked at won’t hurt it’s better to treat it now than later

If it's only a day or two, probably something spicy you ate. If it goes on for a month, get x-rayed and examined by an internist.
