If (x+5)/12 = x/12, what is the value of x? Answer: -60

    Presentation is incorrect.

As written, there's no solution because this would mean x + 5 = x and 5 = 0. No way and no how is that true.

  • Anonymous

    (x + 5)/12 = x/12 False

The value of X is Anonymous.

    (x + 5)/12 = x/12 12(x + 5) = 12x 12x + 60 = 12x 12x - 12x + 60 = 12x - 12x 60 = 0 which is false so there is no solution

  • Anonymous

Wrong because x has no value that would satisfy the given equation.

  • Anonymous

That's false Just by looking at it, since the denominators are equal, then the numerators must be equal. But clearly x and x + 5 are not the same. (x+5)/12 ≠ x/12 There is no value of x that satisfies this equation
