A lot of times when I go to supermarket and there is a woman cashier they will call me “sweetie”or “hunny” and I love that but do they do?

maybe they do that cause they want you to ask them out on a date

She is just being friendly as lot of supermarket workers say that to make you remember them so you come back and spend more money - it is better than having the rude ones. Where I live Dear or luv is more common than sweetie

No. It is well documented in supermarket etiquette that the cashier will only be nice to you IF she wants your babies. Good luck.

They may not say it to all the guys, but I think they say it to more than just you, Gary. They probably do pick up on the fact that you're nice, though.
