3cis (pi) or (3, pi) or (3, 180) If you allow negative r, (-3, 0) in rectangular coordinates is also (-3, 0) in polar coordinates. (5, -5) is on the line y = -x, so the angle is -pi/4. r = sqrt (50) = 5sqrt (2) (5, -5) = (5sqrt (2), -pi/4)
