I never gave that any thought before now but I'd guess it would be slightly larger, red foxes are small

A large swan can weigh up to 25 pounds. Foxes generally weigh about 12 pounds. They just look bigger because of their fur. Swans are much stronger for their weight than are mammals. Birds have to have light bones and very strong muscles for flight so the swan is way too big for a fox. I watched a coyote walk by a great egret a couple weeks ago and was surprised to see the egret didn't even give the coyote the time of day. It wasn't afraid of it at all. The coyote just walked on by and the egret didn't even watch it go by. It even came back and passed it again and even though it came from behind the egret, it still wasn't concerned which admittedly surprised me. Coyotes are much bigger than foxes and this one was probably closer to 35 pounds and the egret maybe was 12 pounds but it wasn't worried. It was a young coyote but it was still full grown.
