I think the minimum wage should be tied to the living expenses in each individual state. The minimum wage should be $15 in some states but maybe more in other states or less in other states.

Henry Ford paid his workers a salary that was much higher than the average at the time because he knew that if his employees made more, they'd be far more likely to be able to afford to buy one of his cars. Giving people more purchasing power leads to more consumer spending, which leads to more demand, which leads to more production, which leads to more hiring, etc, etc. Every time minimum wages are raised, the corporate doomsayers come out of the woodwork whining about how it will somehow ruin the economy...but it never quite does.

Because they are to brainwashed to know that if the MIN wage goes up that much that the cost of living like always will also go up just a little more to cover the cost of the pay raise,,, The rich Democrats do not want people to know that... especially the ones who own and run their own business with lots of employees... History has proven... the cost oif living goes up the same or a point more in percentage each time the cost of living goes up.... Remember when you could buy a new car for less then $5,000.00.... not really that long ago check prices of the 60,s and 70's..

Maybe they’re thinking in more immediate/personal/subjective terms, ...like the effects of poverty has on them and their families. May be they don’t have the luxury of thinking of the economy in general, but of their own situations only.Because they have children who are suffering because they can’t make enough money to live in a country such as this with such economic disparity maybe? Or does that make too much sense to you? How does the rich people in this country getting all the breaks benefit the economy? Except for themselves maybe? What a f* king idiotic question this is. Try to support even one child when you don’t have a college education in this country and then come back and ask this kind of idiotic question. Especially if you have the misfortune to be victimized by the no-fault divorce system in this country which further impoverishes you if you didn’t have anything to begin with. How old are you anyway?
