Are our brains hard wired to like faces of species more similar to us?

    Only our own. Those that are slightly different we start to feel creeped out and/or threatened. Probably why we killed off all other hominid species. As for species that looks nothing like us, we probably find more solace with those that resemble the ones we find non-threatening, helpful, or comforting (like horses and dogs) and find repugnant those that our ancestors found as being dangerous like spiders.

    You make decisions unless you can't take the heat and then you defer to your brain making them.
