Someone broke my store window and the cops won’t do anything?

I own a DVD rental store and two days ago in the morning when I went to open the store my window was broken and there was a brick there, so I’m guessing someone threw a brick in my window. I reported it to the police and they told me “what do you expect us to do?” What are other options? What should I do about...
