Would a large amount of force be able to stop a beam of energy?

So I m debating with a friend about whether or not a large amount of force would be able to stop a large amount of concentrated energy. (Sorry for the example being from MHA) The best example I can think of would be: Would Katsuki Bakugo be able to stop Yuga Aoyama s navel laser?
