Can being on birth-control pills cause an effection on my bellybutton piercing?

From starting the pill around 3 weeks ago I have notice my bellybutton I have had pierced for nearly 6 years has become infected. I was wondering if the pill could have caused this as the the effection has just occurred from starting the pill.

No .. there's nothing in the birth control pill that could cause your belly button piercing to become infected. You probably didn't keep your piercing clean, and that's why it's infected.

No. Pills work in the adrenal system. A belly button infection is a topical infection.

No (infection) Some dirt and bacteria got in there and it got infected.
