It is a political circle and I don t want this to be a cringey movie sob-story. How do I shake this damn feeling?

First, define what a "croud" is. It sounds like a fish.

You focus on studying hard and getting an education. When you are smarter than others you won't be easily fooled.

The best way to shake it is by getting out of that crowd. Your feeling that you are in the wrong political crowd may be God trying to tell you something.
