Do a search for Ohm's Law. This will answer all your questions. This is also in your text book.

R = 1000 / 1000^2 = 1000 ohm

W = IV; V = IR so I =V/R so W =V^2/R so R = V^2/W = (1000)^2/(1000)

P = E²/R R = E²//P = 1000²/1000 = 1000 Ω To check, I = E/R = 1000/1000 = 1 amp and power = EI = 1000•1 = 1000 watts
