Should I Take An EKG Test? I Have High Blood Pressure?

Better yet have an ekg and an echo. Usually echocardiograms are done every 3-4 years or every 4 years if normal.

ECGs do not diagnose high blood pressure and are only helpful in narrow instances of irregular heart beats, some past heart attacks, some present, etc. they do not predict the future and are not helpful with just plain hypertension. Talk to your doc.

WHY ? It is not usually done for high BP
