I first look at other humans and think of the existence of all of humanity. I don't need to look at the sun or the moon to think of my own existence. I need another human to think of my own existence.

Not any more,.when I was very young I had a telescope and looked at the moon and stars. I do look at photos of peaceful places.

Staring at the sun, unprotected, can blind you. and you could get you a nasty sunburn as well. Looking at the Moon, with all its craters leaves me with the impression that life on Earth has been damned lucky to make it this far.

I've looked at both, but the Sun in particular, is quite painful to look at. And while I have thought about my own existence, I've never done it while look at either the Sun or the Moon.
