There is no theory behind that word. There is no theory behind the correct word, abiogenesis. Science has yet to explain how abiogensis occurred. It may be something that is never explained although we know it must have happened.

All life that has been examined consists of ordinary chemicals. We know that self-replicating molecules form naturally. We know that lipid enclosures form naturally. There is no reason to suspect that life didn't arise naturally.
