Why is suicide considered selfish? Hasn’t the suicidal person suffered enough before deciding to pull the trigger?

Because it pushes the pain onto others. That's like half of the reason to not do it. Makes it really hard, even though the pain you pass on won't be nearly as bad as what you suffer every day of your life even in "happy" times.
