In many cases this is the reason. They have low self worth and need to control others.

No, the only people that pick a fight are losers and unhappy with their own life.

sometimes. but that's hardly the only motivation. people pick fights for all kinds of reasons.

Not necessarily. I was the baby of the family, and nooooobody would ever listen to anything I said. I found out that sometimes I had to be loud if I wanted to be heard.
