I drank a glass of milk then found out you’re not supposed to drink milk 6 hours before anesthesia.?

I am having surgery today with anesthesia and I just drank a glass of milk. I didn’t know this until after. At the time that I drank the milk it was 4 hours 45 minutes until my procedure. What should I do???

Tell your oral surgeon about it.

This will no longer be in your stomach but have passed through to your kidneys. It is food that is dangerous. Just tell the Doctor.

Just tell them you inadvertently drank what ever amount of milk x hours ago. It's not as dangerous as solid food and they may still be able to do your procedure if their insurance and level of skill permits.

Tell the doctor as soon as you get there. You should always read all instructions given to you. Your life may depend on it.
