A bit of background: In the classic Nicktoon Rocko's Modern Life, Heffer says at the end of the opening credits "That was a hoot!" What do you think that phrase means?

    That was a hoot=that was fun. nothing more, nothing less. A short laugh sounds like a hoot. If I got a hoot out of it, I enjoyed it and laughed some. Not so fun that I was rolling in the aisles out of control, but it was fun enough to comment about.
