I can't imagine what, beyond 2 portions of food, would be the difference. If you both want the same item, and it's on the couple's menu, order that--it's probably cheaper that 2 separate entrees.

Food for two, is food for two. Food does not recognize gender.

No. Not any time soon. Flat broke at the moment. Won't be dining out. Is there an advantage to ordering this 'couples menu'? If so and if I had enough money, sure.
