Why do most teachers act like they don't smoke pot?

My history teacher tries to act like we don't smell his rank clothes lol. It's like its ok buddy almost everybody has smoked or smokes pot.

I've never smoked it. I've never even encountered it, no, not even when I was a student. Granted, we walked with dinosaurs in those days, but even so ...

It's possible he doesn't but spends a lot time around someone who does. After all, unless it's legal where you are, surely it's going to be a problem with his employer; it's not like only students notice it.
