What caused this rippling look in the surface of this rock?

Saw this rock at Shasta Lake and was wondering what caused the wave like rippling motion on the surface of this rock? Please explain

It appears to be a conchoidal fracture pattern (possibly from a jackhammer?).

Its the same rippling you see on sandy beaches - wave action causes the ripples, then when the sand becomes rock the ripples are preserved.
