A bag has 6 blue marbles, 4 red marbkles, and 2 green marbles. Two marbles are randomly chosen without replacement. What is the probability that both marbles picked are blue?

(6/12)(5/15) = 30/180 = 1/6

First one is blue : 6 / (6 + 4 + 2) = 6/12 2nd one is blue either : 5 / (5 + 4 + 2) = 5/11 the chances of two independent events = multiplying the chances 6/12 * 5/11 = 30/132 = 5/22
