Difference between an 8 digit and 10 digit calculator?

They all have 10 numbers. So what are they talking about? I am tired of dollar store calculators and am going to buy a better one.

The both have 10 buttons the enter the digits but, the display only shows 8 or 10 digits.

It's about how many digits fit on the screen, not how many are on the keypad.

it's just how big the numbers can be. all calculators will let you put in the numbers 0-9, but an 8 digit one only lets you go to the 10 millions while a 10 digit lets you go into the billions.
