Depends on what you're allergic to and how severe it is. If it is just the fur, you may be able to be near one. People are allergic to cats and dogs but still go around them. Fur can be on anything, so just don't be stupid

There are different severities of allergies. Some people can be around horses if they are only a little allergic but others will have to stay far away. Also people have good or bad days so there is a lot of variability.
