High school teachers typically focus on one subject area. My nephew teaches history and government, a friend teaches English, another teaches music. Elementary school teachers teach a wider range of subjects You have to decide what you prefer

I'm sure it's a matter of preference. I'd think elementary kids were easier to push around, while high school kids would give you more interesting discussions.
