If I’m 15, can I volunteer for a blood drive? If not, can I help set up for a blood drive?

I’ve heard that one has to be older than 16 to give a blood drive, but my teachers at school have told me its alright if I go to a blood drive. If I can’t give blood, can I at least help set up a blood drive?

You can volunteer to help at a blood drive - handing out cookies, organizing the donors, running errands. Good for you, it can be very rewarding.

Depends where you are. Where I live, you can donate at 16 or 17 WITH your parents' written permission. Contact the blood center and ask or look it up online. Yes, you can still volunteer at the drive if you are 15.

it is far harder to set up something than it is to participate, and a blood drive is no exception
