it is proper tiny little thing, you cant actually see the detail of its body or wings because it is so tiny. its just a little black dot floating around! what's the species?

Probably one of the Drosophila flies. Have to see it up close to venture guessing species.

fruitflies ( Drosophila melanogaster) is the most common. they like (rotting) fruit, and are stupid enough to try and fly into your eye
