In metric, cars are rated in Liters per 100km Let's say your car uses 4 Liters/100km for your info it can also be used as (100km/4L) For 1L of petrol: 1L (100km/4L) = 25km

1.7 L car means engine needs 1.7 L air and petrol mixture. It has nothing to with the km.

Depends on the fuel mileage. For example, if it gets 10 km/L, then it can go 10 km on 1 liter.
