Alcoholism runs in my Mom's family. They have their family reunion in 3 weeks. I'm going. How do I avoid getting drunk there when others do?

All the others will be drunk since it is an alcoholic family so how do I avoid getting drunk myself. Don't say don't drink as obviously everyone will be drinking.

Always have a drink in your hand (non-alcoholic) so people don't ask why you aren't drinking. They won't know what is in the cup

I have done the “every other” rule before: one alcoholic drink, one water, & so on.
