When someone said : i have worked here for 10 years . Is that mean he is no longer works at this place? But why he didn’t use past simple ?

When someone said : i have worked here for 10 years . Is that mean he is no longer works at this place? But why he didn’t use past simple ?

    It means it still works there. If he no longer works there, he would have to say "I worked there for 10 years"

    The expression "I have worked here" does not imply that the speaker no longer works there. You could draw that inference from the expression "I worked there."
