I assume that you mean "handbreadth", as in the width of a hand, generally about 4 inches, or 10 centimetres.

CONTEXT please. Perhaps you mean 'hand's breadth' - the width of a hand. "Annie was a hand's-breadth away from disaster." Don't just post a word and a question mark. It's rude, and unhelpful. Give the full context and ask a question.
