Why is my aftermarket radio smoking and not turning back on?

Well I hooked every wire correctly and it was working fine then it Started having white smoke come out then it turned off and smelled burnt and won’t come back on. Is it fried

toss it in garbage, it will cost more to fix than you paid for it.......

Sounds fried, baked, roasted, K.O. Shorted out somewhere.

Consider yourself lucky you still have a vehicle. Either it was wired up incorrectly or it was a faulty unit. Did you remember to wire in a fuse?

Yes. All electronics have a component in them called "magic smoke". When it escapes the electronics stop working.
