Can young people under the age ot 30 actually have a conversation without using the word "like" in every other sentence?

I suppose it is better than "f^ck" in every other sentence. Apparently English youngsters in France are known by the locals as "les f^ckings" because they use that word so often. Indeed it is annoying to hear "like" used meaninglessly, as it so often is.

It is possible, but “like” is something we’ve been raised to be used to. The prevalence of “like” in statements made by an under 30 speaker is mostly based on the environment they grew up in or learned English. Just a hunch.

Reminds me of the cartoon Scooby-Do. It was fun to watch Shaggy say: "Like, don't look now, Velma." or, "Like Scoob and I don't do castles." I think it's funny. Doesn't really bother me.
