A doctor orders 27 mg of a drug to be administered to a patient in one day. If the drug comes in a solution that contains 3 mg per 10. mL of the solution, how many milliliters of the solution can the patient have in one day?

    3/10 is the fraction of the mass of the drug to the volume of the solution. Let V be volume of the solution. Use the following equation to determine this volume. Volume * Fraction = Mass V * 3/10 = 27 V = 27 * 3⅓ = 90 ml I hope this is helpful for you.
