I keeled looking this out but my phrasing was weird. I know it’s scientifically impossible, but what would happen if... it SOMEHOW happened?

One of the primary properties of matter is that it occupies space, so if you are talking about "chunks of matter" you have a paradox. On the atomic level, when this happens, atoms become molecules sharing electrons.
