If I cut one .05mg tablet in half, does that equal .025 mg?

Likely it won't be exact, but the math is correct.

In theory, yes. In reality no. There is no way to cut a tablet perfectly in half. In an experiment, you would need to reweigh the two halves. Probably both will be less than 0.025 since you will create some dust that will be lost.

if you make a perfect cut and the mass is evenly distributed, yes. Otherwise, it will probably be close but not exactly 0.025.

Yes, half of 0.05 mg tablet would give 0.025 mg of the active ingredient in the drug.
