It's an ingredient in Vicks Vapor Rub. It probably wouldn't be, but if I was in doubt, I would call the doctor's office and ask.

Not harmful but unpleasant for the poor child. They have very sensitive senses, so it would be horrible for the poor little thing. You did not explain why you want to do this.
