Can a air bubble kill you if it is injected into your blood stream quickly?

Just curious to know if an air bubble can really kill you if it is injected quickly into your blood stream?

It has to be a very, very large bubble. When you get an IV the air is supposed to be run out before the infusion starts. Those champagne bubbles in the IV tube are perfectly fine.

Yes, the air bubble will kill you if it gets to your heart or brain.

Air bubbles have often been in IV's and the result is still life. So someone needs to work out delivery, as well as amount.

It would have to be a very large bubble. Little ones like you might get in an IV tube will not do anything.
