Yeah the time to get life insurance is before you get diagnosed with a serious illness it's going to be extremely expensive and hard to get life insurance now that you have a diagnosis.

You may want to try buying an annuity with a death benefit. It may be a better deal than straight life insurance, due to a high premium if you can get coverage at all.
