I am trying to write a scene in a story about kids playing on a titter-totter (I am not sure if that's even spelled right) in a park. Any help

If you want to write a story, you should work on punctuation first. That comma doesn't belong there. Why would you pause in the middle of that sentence?

I've learnt another American word. Just for the Brits on here, that's a seesaw!

Here's something with which to work: Oohing and ahhing, laughing, shouting, and shrieking with delight or concern; the children fluttered, floated and flapped up and down on the teeter totters set up in the park. Hope it helps.

*teeter-totter* Remember to use all your senses in describing the scene -- not just what you can see, but also what you can hear, and feel, and taste, and smell.
