Jenny has a patio in her garden. Its shape is a quarter circle with a radius of 3 m. r = 3 m pi r^2 = 9 pi m^2 It's perimeter is (6 + 3 pi) = 15.425 m

i) Curved portion = 3π/2 m Straight sides = 6 m Perimeter = 3π/2 + 6 m ≈ 10.712 m ii) Area = (1/2)*3^2*π/2 m^2 = 9π/4 m^2 ≈ 7.069 m^2
