All elements are gaseous in the sun and all non-radioactive elements are common in it, but none of them are compounds, so there would be about ninety of them.

Depends on the star. Most stars like our sun are primarily hydrogen and helium.

Mostly Hydrogen, followed by Helium. There are traces of other gases (and other metallic elements as well) - about 1.5% of the sun is Carbon, Nitrogen and Oxygen, then there are trace amounts of other elements. http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/about-u...

Depends on which Sun but H and He are probably in most to all
